Paul,
Were are you stopping over at. I know you said u have 160 miles. How far are you from Solomons Is. Solomons is approx 40 miles from St Michaels. Also, call st michaels marina for there fuel prices 18006788980, they offer discounts with check or cash. As far as iam aware there pretty high though. For example for the weekend they charge 3.50 ft. I do not know if higgins has fuel or gas. Just trying to help ya....

I never been further south than Solomons Island. Crisfield may be a nice place to lay over. I heard it is a great place to eat but definelty not a big place to stay. Probably nice for a 1 night stay.
Fuel availability would be st Michaels marina (Probably High). Solomon island Spring cove had cheaper gas prices in july. Kent island is pretty close to solomons but it would make you drive off your course a little to get there.
You might want to load up before so you can refuel at solomon Island. Do you have a 300 gallon Diesel tank. How much range do you get with the 6b Cummins out of curiousty.

spring cove has diesel for $2.39gallon. St Michaels is charging $ 2.79 a gallon but would sharpen the pencil if you paid with cash or check. I just called at 130pm. Higgins does not have no gas dock.
Thanks Butch

paul, i will be motoring from baltimore, and dad will be motoring from springfield, virginia. my ETA should be 0800 or 0830, i will be leaving the house at 0600 sharp. dad's ETA is scheduled for around 1100. i've already told phil that i might not be back saturday evening depending on how i feel, so i am taking a 'remain overnight kit' with me as is dad.
dad got an email from don and bob at beacon marine about a story regarding BUBALA 3 and her legacy in the bocknek family.
i'm really stoked about seeing everyone tomorrow.
