Heck I had to move the gas tank to port and install a larger trim tab on the helm side just to track straight!!! At least my boat is a conservative boat-----it usually leans right!!

Chauzer,

Yes fishing is great (and cheap) in Zihua/Ixtapa. We stay in Zihua - where there are no American tourists at all. Very quaint and beautiful We've used the same captain for years, and catch whatever we target that day. The Pacific sailfish are huge - 100#'s plus - and 2-3 per day. We fish every other day - and often stop off at Ixtapa Island with some fresh fish and have them cook it up while we eat fresh cut Ceviche with a few Cervezas. While Tuna Ceviche is the norm, we found Mahi Ceviche to be the best ever!

Hey Tuck, I don't know where the boat was at but it showed a NC. state reg. and we don't get all that bad here on the coast, We live aboard our 40ft rear aft cabin and I really would go stirr crazy if I could not get out on ICW during the winter or worst yet had to live back on the hard

rapids is just about fead center of the state. just south of wausau. when i'm at home i'm about 130 miles from my boat. i lived in algoma wi, for about two years and worked at the sturgeon bay shipyard and charter fished. i loved being able to look out the front door and see my boat. now when i have charters the weekends seem like a whirlwind! do you ever get up this way anymore?

Not in a few - but Doerr county is really nice, so will again someday.

I have a supplier up there in Baraboo. Maybe I should visit?

you might want to wait until summer to visit. maybe then we could get together and i can take ya out salmon fishing! baraboo is about 50 miles southwest of me so you wouldn't be that far away.
unless you want to come up and go ice fishing (if we ever get ice)?!

Yes, summer is the time. We used to fish in Canada in June/July - great area - mostly Walleye, Pike and Muskie.

let it snow! now all it has to do is get cold enough to make ice!! sure you don't want to come up and enjoy some early ice northerns and walleyes? it will be awhile before jumbo perch time. ice fishing green bay is an adventure to say the least!

No - I'll wait for June for Walleye (Pike, Perch and Muskie)!

Fished yesterday. It was cold and grey, but the ocean was flat as a pancake. Could have taken a skiff offshore!
