Slips here cost $150-200k now - outrageous. Glad I have my own dock.
Slips are $13/foot/month last I checked ... $468/mo for 36' ...

danny i have a 30ft trojan with two 233hp mercrusers one is locked up the other has been turned over but not sure if will run dont know when last time boat did run this is a real project boat will the motors and gears swap out and how much changes will need to be done the floor has to be worked on so it wil be out of the way looking to find out what in detail i will need to do to make a change like this thx ray

Without knowing what cubic inch your mercruisers are I can't say for sure but generally all v-8 gas engines will fit in the same hole. What type and ratio transmission you have is more a factor than engine size. Mine have Borg Warner 72C's 1.91 to 1 ratio. Is this close to what you have? These monsters would set your 30 footer on fire for speed.

ill try to call the marina in the morning and see if i can find out if not will be monday before i find out anything i do know the engines are 351 ford windsors thx again ray

The only proplem you may have is the height but its not hard to rase the
engine covers ,( won't be much ) you should have 1 to 1 gears on the f30 . you will heed to stay with them ( they will bolt right up ) . If you were to use the 1.91 gears you would have to move the engines forward , go to larger shafts change the shaft angle to clear much larger props needed for the 1.91 gear. been down this road with a frend (we put in 454s )
bottom line is putting in the 440s with the 1 to1 gears would be real easy . and would realy nice set up . I would go for it . buy the engines
sell the gears . If Danny says the engines are good you can belive it he takes care of his stuff . ( just look at photos of his boat )

Ray,
If you want these engines without the transmissions, I'll give them to you for what the boat yard said I could get for them as scrap iron...$50 bucks each. You'll have to come get them...I can't be bothered with crating and shipping... remember I'm starting my repower Monday doing all the work (except crane / boom truck work) myself. Last trip we took was Labor Day. Ran 2800 RPM to Cape Lookout and back 60-70 miles round trip. Oil pressure LH-45, RH 60, Temp 180 both. I have a hoist in my shop and will help you load them. Let me know.
