what a neat idea to do the counter top paint! never even knew a product like that existed. just went to the rust-oleum website to get some idea of how it works etc. i think this would be a great project for me in the late fall. i absolutely HATE the fake cork counter top and back splash that trojan used in the late 1980's. i'm thinking of taupe or canvas. something to make that area a little brighter.[/quote] P.S. She also did the dinette tabel too.(cobel stone) you would think that it would look gray but its a nics tan or a creamy white and it did brighten it up alot the black slateish looking stuff that is on my 73-f32. was very Spanish mediterranean period. I am so glad that the trends of the verious periods didnt or couldent translate in to the wood work, Trojan did a nice job with that and a little elbow grease.has made it look great once more, it is my hope that this is something that I can pass on to my son. So the work that I put in her is done with love. and I include him in as much of the work and all the fun that I can

I also like the rope lights under the cabinets I am going to go with L.E.D.'s from= http://www.usledsupply.com/shop/ you can order the lenghts that you need and un like the rope lights the L.E.D.'s don't sag when they get warm. as with the rope you can get them in any number of colors I'm going to go with the clasic look of the warm white.

Thanks for the note, I have actually corrected the rope light sag issue by reinstalling them in the rope light mounting channel, now they're a nice straight line.

I do plan to replace them with LEDs at some point for the power savings, but I had a roll of about 100' left over from a work project so I couldnt beat the price.
