Risers

Post by oldwood »

How often should I check, clean or replace manifolds and risers?? I have one that is cracked and don't know if I should replace just the one or all.

If one is cracked, I would assume possible freeze damage - I would change all manifolds and risers. Why risk your engines for something (relatively) simple? Afterwards, the rule of thumb is to remove them for inspection every three years although I have never met anyone that has done that. Realistacally, if you change them out every seven years, I think you will be way ahead of any problems (just my personal opinion and practice).
