It seems our showers and sinks go overboard. I am going to try my best to use the snake camera and follow the lines and try to find a label on the top of the tank (maybe).

Here are some photos of the tank. There are wires (no labels that I could see) for the level sensor. I have had no luck tracing the lines yet.
The big white line goes in the top. There is a small black line that goes in the top, and a small black line that goes around to the front of the tank and mounts to a nipple near the bottom of the tank.

The tank in the picture is the fresh water tank.

The large hose at top of tank is the fresh water in from the deck fill the small hose next to it is the vent hose.

The black hose out the bottom is fresh water out to the fresh water pump.

If you need a Owners manual let us know.

But it appears this is UNUSED on the 12 meter motor yacht, as we have an aluminum cylindrical tank (right beside the water heater and under the dinette set) that I have verified is the one we are filling when we fill the water inlet.

This seems like aftermarket to me. You picture looks exactly like our freshwater tank in the 12m Sedan. Maybe someone did something stupid like put fuel in the water tank and then abandoned it. Any pictures of the cylinder tank?

I will try to get pics of the cylindrical aluminum tank this weekend. Very interesting. Thank you for all the info. I guess I will have to open that tank and take a look just to finally figure out what is in there.

Maybe that is where they moved Jimmy Hoffa to.

I did not think about Jimmy being in there. I will look for him.

Well,
Now the "mystery tank" is no longer the mystery tank, and the OTHER tank has become the mystery tank.

I filled the water up today and during the fill I crawled down into the bilge (front) and I could hear the water filling the "mystery tank".

So, now the question has become, what is the ROUND aluminum tank laying on its side beside the water heater (under the dinette). This is the tank that I USED to think was the fresh water tank. I am going to have to crawl in there and trace some lines.

Here is a pic of the aluminum tank. The white object to the left is the water heater. The fill line off the top of this aluminum tank goes RIGHT TO THE DECK where I fill our water. So, I believe now that the two (2) water tanks are somehow tied together, and the upper aluminum one feeds water down to the lower one in the bilge. It is very hard to get in there, but I am going to have to and trace ALL the lines to figure out how they have connected these two tanks. Now, I wonder if this was part of the original design, or if this was an "owner add on".

My money is its a owner add on .

Ok,
So far, I have found that the vent lines ARE tee'ed together. I have not found anything out about the fill line or the feed lines yet, but I will work on it.
