Morse Twin Controls

The throttle cable on my upper helm port Morse control broke, and I need to replace it. Its a 1974 F32 repowered with Cummins.
I believe I have the Morse Control Twin Sr Marine ... with the 2 screws in the top.

I am reading online that these use the Teleflex "33C", "33C Supreme" "44C" or "44BC" cables (which seem to come in any length from 6' to 40').
The 33Care are 10-24 thread with square mounting slots on each end, and the 44C is 1/4-20 with round mounting slot on each end.
Mine are 10-24, so I assume I need the 33C?
The 33C Supreme has an inner core that's encased in nylon and travels back and forth in a high density polyethylene liner. This plastic against plastic movement decreases friction and increases efficiency by 45% over other push-pull cables.
* 100% interchangeable with 33C cables
* Tight 4'' minimum bend radius capability (regulare 33C is 8")
* 3'' travel (same for 33C)
* 10-32 SAE threads (same for 33C)
So, I'll use the 33C SUpreme.
Anyone know what length the cable is?
Any tips?

I used the 33 Supreme cables and they are great. The cable from the port lever to the lower station was 24' and another 22' to the trans. The starboard measured 22' and 17'. The task was easier than I thought. The new cables require a connector kit for the trans connection. Becareful when ordering online as the kit might not be listed.

Lakeguy - did you have the Same Morse SR Twin controls?
I just pulled the bad cable off, and found the cable from the lower helm to the port engine is going bad as well. They'r enot red (Telelfex 33c), and unmarked, but the are 10-32 on each end, but have round fittings (not square like Teleflex 33C claims to be), so I hope they work.
I will remove the fittings on the ends and re-use them, so I won't need a kit.
My Throttle cables:
> Upper to lower helm Throttle cables are 19' each.
> Lower Helm to Port is 13'
> Lower Helm to Starboard is approx. 8' (I didn't remove it, and its not labeled)
My Transmission Cables:
> Upper to Lower helm Shift cable are probably 21-23' each.
The holes in the salon wall fiberglass where the square metal cable cover fits are very tight. Anyone else have issues/solution here? I plan to run even more gear up top, but my cable run is full ...

Universal 33000 Types (10-32 ends, square, red jacket)

> 33C cable (midrange) 032377-003-xx
> 33C Supreme (midrange) 301947-003-xxx
> TFXTREME 3300 Cable (premium) CC633xx
Universal 43 Types (1/4-20 ends, round) - requires adapter for SR Twin
> TFXTERME 4300 BC cable CC692xx
> TFXTERME 4300 CC cable cc692xx
I'll look for the 33C Supreme or TFXTREME 3300 ...
Lower Controls

My lower controls appear to be stock. I have no idea what make/model they are. They're flush (actually stick up less than 1/4"), chrome plated.
Here is an F32 on the Internet with these controls:
I'll get a picture of mine after the rain passes.
Any ideas what these are?

My 75 f32 has the same controls but don't know what they are.

My cover has screws at the base on each side but I believe the guts are the same. I installed the black cables. The old transmission end had two set screws that locked the inner cable inplace. The new cables have 10-32 thds on both ends and that was why I needed the kit. The toughest part of the job was getting the cables the up the "chase" and through the rubber hose at the top. I used a bar clamp to round up the hose while I snaked the cables through. I attached both shift cables to a chase wire and pulled them up. I was lucky as the previous owner(25 years ago) installed the wire.

I eneded up replacing the old (grey = Std 33C cables and red = 33C Supreme cables) with Teleflex's top-of-the-line TFXtreme (Black) CC633xx cables:
1974 Trojan F32 with Twin Cummins 6BTAs (should be similar length for gas engines - perhaps 1 foot shorter on the lower to engine cable?):
> STBD upper to lower throttle cable - Teleflex TFXtreme 19' cable CC63319
> STBD lower to engine throttle cable - Teleflex TFXtreme 10' cable CC63310
> PORT upper to lower throttle cable - Teleflex TFXtreme 19' cable CC63319
> PORT lower to engine throttle cable - Teleflex TFXtreme 13' cable CC63313
Still need to do my shift cables, but they;re not tight yet.
The old cables were NOT the same length as the new cable (total amount extending from fittings), so they MUST be replaced together.

Different type question, but still has to do with controls
My top side starboard engine control will not lower the rpm all the way---how do you adjust???
