Does anyone treat their gas for the winter?

I know on a runabout you treat the gas for the winter with Seafoam or other gas treaments. With the F44, there is over 350 gallons on board. Do you have to treat all that gas, if so how?

So how much would you have to use of that, cause most treatments I've seen takes a full bottle per 20-25 gallons. That would be a fortune to treat all 350 gallons

sta-bil marine 32oz treats 320 gals . 32oz startron treats 520 gals
( if I only used 1 for stoarge I would use sta-bil )
unless you burn a full tank of fuel in a short time i would use it year round . cheap peace of mine IMO

Since the ethanol transition a few years ago, I've been running the tanks low at the end of the season. I add Stabil before winterizing the engine to treat the fuel line and carburetor. After the engine is winterized, I siphon the tank dry. I can do that by disconnecting the hose from a seacock and passing the siphon hose through the hull. I siphon the gas into 5 gallon cans underneath the boat - which I then pour into my Ford Expedition. Of course on my F26 we are only talking about a 75 gallon tank. I've had no fuel issues at all during the last two seasons. I usually open up the water separator mid season to check for water. Before I started draining the tank, I used to find a few ounces of water in the separator at mid season. Since I've been draining the tank, I've found no water there at all.
Caught my first keeper striped bass of the season this morning - 31 inches.

Always top off with fuel and treat. Always. Always. Always.

I use Sta-bil in every thing I have. It is much cheaper and easier than trying to clear all the gum out next spring. Old, stale gas can also burn holes in your pistons. Buy the red automotive type...the marine blue stuff is priced as most 'Marine' products are.
winterize

I use Startron every time I fill up, at the end of the year since the fuel is already treated I will just add some additional treatment to ensure I don't have a problem. Also, I leave my tanks at whatever level they are at but chose to leave them low since the ethanol has been introduced.
Last I asked it was $7.00 a gallon to get rid of bad fuel, that plus the $5.00 price to buy it makes 1 gallon of bad fuel worth 1 bottle of startron.
I keep the startron handy and use it in all my home equipment also, when I fill up my 5 gallon can for use in the lawnmower etc I just add it so I never have to worry about winterizing the lawn equipment.

I pay my marina to deal with winterizing and adding fuel stabilizer as needed. The way I figure it : if I did it myself and were to screw up, it costs me an engine and lots of money. If the marina screws up, I get a new engine for free ! Cheap insurance policy.
