F32 Stringers Replacement

Post by Martino »

Built an A Frame to pull the motors. Then some bulkhead and stringer repairs and a fresh coat of Bilge paint. More pics to come.

Did you run into any issues lifting them out with the A-frame? Any notes on position or additional support underneath?
Currently Trojan-less :?

Wow, that looks bad. Could you post pics during replacement? Would you consider steel fabrication along with the new wood? What bilge paint do you use? Thanks.

Well during the summer I made new stringers.
Created templates out of foam insulation board and then transferred them to 3/4 inch Marine ply.
I bonded 4 layers of ply to create 3 inch wide stringers. Bonded the stringers in the hull and then will encapsulate them in fiberglass.

I wouldn't use steel as a replacement. I think it would be to heavy.
