Hi, I am in the process of purchasing a Trojan f-40 that I will need to transport a very long distance.

Is there anyone here that has shipped one of these by land? I was told by the shipping company that I need to get the height of the boat down to 14 feet. How much of the flybridge must be removed to achieve this. I am not finding much info on this model online as far as height..

Good luck I tried to get mine hauled and getting the true dimensions was almost impossible my guess is that you'll have to take the entire fly off

If the F-40 is anything like the F-36, Trojan shipped the boats from the factory with the flybridge removed, so it is already set up for a fairly easy removal. I have never removed mine, but imagine it is awkward getting it down to the foredeck.

Of course, any additions by previous owners might not be as easy to disconnect!

Than you everyone who has answered. I figured the fly would have to come down, seems like that may be the best route to go... or drive it from New York to the Keys... Tempting

Running it on its own bottom is always the best way to go .
