Danforth has charts for their standard and high-tensile anchors. They are great anchors There are many copies of them while cheaper don't work as well. So if you like that type make sure its a Danforth brand, not just a Danforth type. Of course, there are other styles that people like and work well.

Sail boaters seem to like the Rocnas

The reviews are good and I have heard some good things, But no personal experience. Make sure it's sized right they should have a chart on their site.
Have to ask why is he selling it?

If you haven't got a new anchor yet, be sure to pay attention to the type of bottom to which you'll be doing most of your boating, and get an anchor to suit. My Fortress works great in Chesapeake Bay mud. Take a look at what your neighbors have.
