I have a 1988 F321 with 350 Crusades I believe that they are 300 HP
I have 16-13 props on the boat
I don’t think I am getting the performance out the as I should
It seems sluggish
Would any one know if it is proper correctly or not
Thank you for your input

Slightly different configuration, but my '79 F32 with Chrysler 360s (250hp) runs 16x16 cupped props.

Cruise speeds I get are around:
- 1500 RPM, 8 knots
- 2500 RPM, 15-15 knots
- 2800-3200 RPM sweet spot, usually 18-22 knots depending on conditions

Sluggish meaning slow to get on plane or slow top speed?

What rpm are you getting at wide open? What speeds are you getting? Is the bottom and running gear clean? Factory props should be 16x16 I believe and many run 16x15. Also, the 350 that was installed was 270hp. So if you have 300hp the boat was likely re-powerd. Can you recheck the HP and the gear ratio as it also could have been changed factory was 1,5 to 1,

Thank you for your reply.

I will recheck my spec's. I was referring to the top end. I normally run it wide opened but it was around 4200 RPM, but I will recheck that.

4200 sounds good what speed are you getting? You did not say if the bottom/running gear was clean. It makes a big difference. Did you say you usually run it wide open?? The prop specs are for the earlier F32 I will try to get the new specs to see if they are the same.

Yes the bottom is clean
The speed I am not sure about I am just setting up my new equipment
I don’t run it wide opened
I run it between 2900 and 32 3300 rpm
This is the first year with it
Thank you for the help
