Whiny old boat

I’ve owned this 1977 F26 Hardtop since 1999 and have spent many an hour and dollar getting her into 21st century shape. Love the boat! BUT….at low speed in forward (1100-1200 RPM) she makes a whiny, ringing noise that’s noticeable from the prop shaft (I think). I did have shaft and rudder work done about 3 years ago when I finally found that G D rock. The shaft and rudder stock were straightened along with prop work. MAYBE that started this whiny, ringy noise. Any ideas out there before I give my mechanic a big bag of money to diagnose the problem? BTW, I don’t get any vibrations underway in forward or reverse, just this whiny/ringing noise at low RPMs in forward. Thanks for any ideas out there.

Thanks for the thoughts. Looks like the Forum just got hijacked by some junk marketers. Good luck, Bob.
