Have a f32 with twin 318 engines--read the other night to add a rust inhibator when changing the oil to protect engine parts over the winter---this will eliminate the need to use defogger

Has anybody used such an additive? If so what is the name and place to purchase. Any ideas?? I winterize in about a week in the North East.

Thanks

shouldn't have to do anything special to the oil. Just run the engine up to normal operating temp for about 10 minutes before you shut it down for the season once you change the oil. That will keep any rust from forming. The engine fogger is for the intake and exhaust side of the engine and won't help the crankcase or valve lifter side of the system. You should use a fogger to shut down the engine. Just remove the spark arrestor and at idle, spray the fogger into the carb until she stalls. That's it. You should have already run the antifreeze through the cooling system before fogging.
