Looks fantastic!

Quick question on the swim platform.... It looks really long and appears to only be screwed in at the top on the triangle brackets. Seems like an awfully high cantilevered load. Did you through bolt those and put large backing plates inside the transom? Any transom flex?

Thanks...
there is full coverage of the transom with 1/4" protected steel from Starboard to port...stringer to stringer.

4 welded aluminum angle brackets...and 5 stainless aft supports.

No flex...had four adults standing on it.

Of course the load on the platform is much less on water then on the trailer...as the water allows the boat to absorb probably twice the weight.

Impressive at how tough these old boats are.

Thanks for sharing those wonderful photos.

Nice upgrades, beautiful execution.

You can't replace her with identical new for what you have in her.

What a great looking re-do of a classic. You do us F-26 owners proud! Congrats on a wonderful job. Did you do the headliner yourself or have it done for you?

Thanks for the compliments....

you are right, one cannot find a better boat with everything this one has for the price....I now have $9129.00 CAN. into the boat in total.

The headliner and teak restoration was done when I bought it.

It is the original floor as well.

Launched it yesterday afternoon...took it out a mile or so and checked everything over....knock on wood (teak)...ha ha...she is ready for a summer of fun.

The platform was no problem on acceleration and above the wake at the aft corners about 5 inches on plane...and with fairly aggressive turning they were about 2-3 inches from the water...so good to go, thankfully.

With my wife and 17 yr. old Son and I standing on the S/P...and a full tank of fuel...she rested about 2 inches off the water...so not bad, might get our feet wet on a wavy day near shore.

Oh... and you bet I will be paying close attention to the platform when she is put away stern to!

Labor of love...lol
