Newbie Question- Oil Change on F25 318 Chrysler

I recently bought the boat, it is 3 hours from home, and I want to bring it home on the water. I would like to make sure that the oil is fresh before running it for the trip.
Here is the question- do I need to bring (ie buy) a pump to extract oil through the dipstick tube, or is the drain plug on the pan easily accessible on the F25 with the 318? If it is not necessary to buy the pump I won't- a penny saved.... :)
Please advise.

Warm it up before you try to pump out the oil. It thins out alot making it easy to pump. Also look for a pump with a stiff tube for the dipstick. The soft curly ones croll up from the bottom of the pan and only let you get out the top quart of oil.

the best thing to do is to get a kit with a fitting and a hose for the drain plug . you will stll have to pump the oil out buy the dip stick to install it ,but the next oil change will be so much easier , I can pump my oil out in about 2 minites and I hold 15 qts per engine .
