Roy,
Not as much as I would like. I bought the boat last July. It is a one owner, and in pretty good shape. It had been in dry storage over a year, and was covered with diesel engine smoke from the fork lifts. It had three gages that didn't work, so didn't much like taking her out untill I get them working, of which I am in the process of doing. The slip I was in was a 24 footer, but two boats had to share one space side by side. The Trojan has a 9.5 foot beam, which left little space in between the other boat. My boating skills were "0" so was so afraid of hitting the other boat, So I only took her out once while in that slip.
I have since moved to another marina last Oct and got a 30 foot slip that has walkways between each boat
Winters are mild here in TN, so have hopes of getting her out during the winter. So when I get the gages replaced, I'll be ready to go.

Going out for a day or over nighting is great but some of my best boat times have been tied up in my slip at the marina........"Time Warp", my F30 is in a 40 foot covered berth. I'm close to the boat and mostly retired so I spend a lot of time down there, often never leaving the dock. We stay in the water year around here and now that the weather has cooled, most people won't see there boats until next spring. This make it an ideal time for some peace and quiet on the boat............kinda like a fort for grownups. And I'd never admit it but some of the best naps are to be had aboard...........lol...............John

jddens is so right, many a happy evening I have spent at the dock or even on the trailer at the storage yard. I go at least one a night a week just to putter, run her, work on her or just to relax, read a book or have a glass of wine. And when backing into a slip, just remember to go slow and even then small bumps into the dock or another boat can be fended off without any damage.

jddens, Roy,
I agree 110%, just being at the marina, or on the boat, while in the slip, is great!
But now that I have a larger slip and be able to get my gages working, I'll be ready to start enjoying Ms Glory to the max!
I only wish I'd done all this sooner in life, but I intend to enjoy it as long as I can.
I've always enjoy being around water, not in it, just around it.

we purchased our Trojan, 1979 40ft rear aft cabin last Aug. and moved aboard her full time and there is nothing like it, from drinking coffee on the flying bridge watching the sunrise on the weekends to having dinner on the rear deck in the evenings and doing the Carolina's state dance which is the Shag, to just watching the moon rise, I just wish that I had done it 20 years sooner

tHERE is a small lake near our home that is 20 miles from anything and when we hang on the hook we have the lake to ourselves and love sitting on the back deck enjoying the stars.
