i am missing the step which i've seen on several trojans, which goes on the back of the boat/transom. (the single step, if that makes sense) i have the holes there, so i now i had one, but it's gone missing at some point before i bought the boat last year.

i also want to cut and hinge my rear railing. where would i find the appropriate hinge and hardware?

thanks in advance!

Are you referring to the Teak railing?

the step that i've seen isn't folding, but i'm not opposed to one. however, the holes on the rear of my boat were horizontal. it appears the one you posted a linkie to is a vertical mount. i looked and didn't see one like i need.

and yeppers, i have teak railing.

This is how my rail splits. I do not know where you can get these. You could call BOB at (609)713-4602 see what he can get for you.

i did get my rail hinge parts from bob at beacon he had taken one off something and he knew someone where he is that rechromed it and when i finally got it it looked brand new, good luck with him getting another. give him a call and keep your fingers crossed. by the way you wont really need the step anymore if you install the hinge in the rail. i never use mine anymore but i wont remove it because of the holes and discoloration of the area. the hinge in the rail makes a world of difference getting in the boat from the swim platform

that's exactly why i want a step. i want to get rid of those pesky holes left behind.

maybe i'll come steal yours when you're sleeping one night, since ya don't use it anymore. tehe.
