Bay windows

Im sure this has been discussed many times over. Mine is one big window. Its leaking plus the sun has faded it so you can not see through it any more.
My question is, Is this Plexiglas? If so I should be able to take it out just cut a new one out of a 4x8 sheet right??

Be sure to clean both surfaces very well. I actually lightly scuffed the Plexiglass as well where the sealer would be applied. Then bond the Plexiglass into place using GE Ultra Glaze Structural Glazing Sealant SSG4000. This stuff just simply works. It's the only thing holding my windows in place. (No retainers) It's been 4 years now & no leaks. Also be sure that the plexiglass does not fit too tightly in the frame. It needs room for thermal expantion & contraction.

anyone know how thick they are ?
size they are? 1/8" ,1/4" , 3/4" ??

I think it's 1/4" but you 'll know when you get it out. You can cut it to fit, but leave 1/16" space all around to make up for the expansion of the plastic in the sun. I agree about the Ultraglaze stuff - I worked for GE Silicones for over 25 years and know the stuff really well. It's an alcohol cure (well there really is no cure for alcohol.,.....hahahahahah) so give it time to set up properly.....at lease 4 hours and 24 or more for full cure. You can bed the window right in the frame and also you can tool a wide bead with an ice cube or a wet finger to give it a nice exterior seal to replace the nasty black rubber one that's already there....bever found a replacement.
