Truth

Post by 65Trojan »

I sent them a 3k deposit....and never went to pick it up...I live in Chicago and It would cost at least 3k to get her here.....So They agreed to give me my money back if I helped them sell it......So I listed it this morning

This comes pretty close to listing a boat for sale in this section against forum rules

I don't worry about that... most of us here have boats already. If Don/Bob don't like it they have the power to deal with it.

Transportation fees

Post by larryeddington »

I bought my boat on a whim for a very good price, I just bit the bullet and paid the 3K transport from Ohio to Texas, just part of owening a boat. I made the offer and kept up my part of the bargain, if I sold one I would expect the buyer to do the same I am surprised they would let you out of the deal.

That is one of the problems with Ebay. I won't sell anyhting there cuz there are too many shmucks who don't hold up their end of the CONTRACT. Did he not even bother to think about getting it home. Sounds farfetched to me.

It could be a nice boat , but he was clueless when bought it as to how to move it or the cost . (3k to move it seems cheap) . when you make a deal bad or good you stick to it . I was was the one who sold you the boat last year you would have lost your deposit a long time ago ,

In my world, not only would he have lost his deposit, but he would still help to sell the boat, then cover the difference of the sales price, then say Thank You to the seller and mean it.
