Be safe and enjoy the trip. What is your destination in Fla?

Don't really have a destination....nor a return date. We'll just cruise south until we find a slip or mooring ball that's warm, affordable and close to things to do and places to shop. Any recommendations?

Sounds like a great trip Danny. If you have internet service along the way please tell us of your journeys. We who are up north and on the hard for the next 5 months have to live vicariously through lucky folks like you.

Reading a detailed travel log is always a good way to spend time.

I agree with K9th. I'll be shovelling, watching sports on tv and wishing it was spring.

The wife and I really like Saint Augustine and the New Smurna Beach area. Also like Stewart FL. area. Great fishing and lots of boat stuff around there. As far as the west side goes Id say Fort Myers, Clearwater or Venice Beach.
The wife and I just finished with the last part of our journey and left the Miss Kitty in her new temporary home in Pensacola. Got a lot of rain and wind the last few day`s but still not enough water to get her up the Chatahoochee River so we tied her up for the winter in Pensacola. Guess we`ll be running back and forth alot this winter doing repairs and fixing up as the ole girl took a beating from the trip. Had a great time and met some really good people along the way. Have fun and keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks for the info, Rick. We finally left the dock Tuesday at 12:45 pm and are anchored out in Carolina Beach now. Been cold and rainy so far. Can't wait to get to warmer lattitudes.

Rodger That!!!

If you run into mechanical problems, need repairs or parts south of Charleston...Stop in @ Marsh Harbor Boat Works and see Peter Gamble. He`s in Beaufort SC. just across from the City Marina. Good people that will take care of you @ a fair price.

We've been holed up in a marina in North Myrtle Beach the last two nights due to the cold. Have only tripped breakers once due to running too many electric heaters at once. Will be back out on the road tomorrow busting water south. Roger on the oysters and shrimp, and Marsh Harbor boat works. Thanks
