Onan 6.5 gen

Does anyone know the cost of a replacement generator for an onan generator? I bought my F-32 without the generator because the generator engine blew and the guy just threw it out. I have a big empty space and was curious if it would be worth my while to get a new generator.

Only you can tell if it worth putting a genset in . Do you need or want AC or heat when at anchor or running ? if you do then you may want to replace it . there are other brands out there like westerbeke and Kohler ,I like the westerbeke myself (gas) . westerbeke would be my first choice on a gas boat.
I am running a Northernlights myself but I am diesel ,westerbeke would be my second choice diesel wise
I don't know prices on Gas gensets ,are you looking for new or used ?

SAM, on this forum had a 6.5 Onan he had pulled out for a replacement. It was working when he pulled it out and he is looking to sell it.
