I'm of the opposite opinion. If you're looking for a project boat and fully understand what all is required to restore a wooden boat then from the single picture in the ad, that looks like a good, cheap, candidate for a project boat.
There is a reason it is so cheap, but until you look at it you don't know what the reason is. It may be the object of a messy divorce, it may be non-boating siblings settling an estate, it may be a POS fit only for kindling - the reason is unknown at this point.
You're only a few hours away and close enough to go take a quick look. If it were me and I was seriously looking for a project boat I'd at least go take a look. A mechanic who worked on my boat when I first bought it lives right there and may be familiar with the boat or know someone who is. If you want his number PM me.

A wood boat project is like the persuit of marriage to a great woman, a lot of full time work to get it floating but the warmth and smooth ride are well worth the continued commitment to try to understand the complexities in detail.....been there, done that.

Thanks for the responses guys.
I don't think I am going to pursue this one. It is gonna cost a small fortune due to the length and beam to transport here and I am not too sure about wanting to get into the wood boat either
I am currently Trojan-less, but I did join a boat club so I have easy access to some pretty nice day boats now. But it is a lot different being in the club, because I can't just go out and spend the afternoon working on it or buying upgrades and that is the reason I am looking for a project boat. Something I can have out in the yard that I can slowly and methodically rebuild without a burning desire to immediately get it in the water.
So if any of you see a decent project boat out there let me know. I am looking for something f-30 or larger that I can get at a decent price. The closer to North Central Ohio the better, but I do have a hauling service that I can use that is reasonable.
