Patrick,
I put a Magma 17" kettle grill on my boat. I also have the wood rails with the stainless supports, I used Magma round rail kit to install it on the boat. Works great, uses a little propane tank and last quite awhile. I bought mine on ebay, but West Marine carries them also. I bought the canvas cover for mine and just leave it mounted even when boating.

We have a "Force 10" BBQ that we use every time we're on the hook for a weekend. Like Jim's, it uses small propane cylinders for fuel. It clamps to the cockpit rail and when not in use sits in a cradle under the port seat. There are several different ways to mount these BBQ on your boat. The salesman at just about any marine supply store should be able to help you out with this.

Good Luck

I have the Magma Marine Ketlle 2 Party size and it works great. There are a number of us in the marina with the same grills and everyone has been happy with them.
