???

Post by rbcool »

A couple of weeks ago a guest used the forward head (#1) and obviously didn't flush. Now there is a nasty ring in the bowl that NOTHING seems to remove. Vacuflush/Sealand porcelan. Anybody had this problem?? Solutions??
I've even tried regular foaming bowl cleaners (took a risk) but no luck.
Never seen this before.

Coca Cola. Pour it directly on the stain and let it sit there for 20 to 30 minutes if possible. It should look like new afterwards. I'm a big tea drinker, and I use Coca Cola every now and then to get rid of the tea stain in my mug. It works great.

Coca Cola works OK but Tang...the orange drink works better. I use it to get the stains out of my dishwaser. Unbelieveable stuff. I won't drink it though.
Also, I agree...I wouldn't let that person on my boat again.

Will Pepsi work? Just curious... I take Coke over Pepsi anyday but that's another thread. I suppose they both have cola in it... so it should.

The phosphoric acid content in Coke is much higher than Pepsi. The pH of Coke is about 1.2. For cleaning, Coke is much better than Pepsi.

As a plumber, I use white vinegar and a pumice stone. If the vinegar does not get it the pumice stone will.
