Found out on sat. while launching mine, travel lift has scales on each sling. 16,000 lbs. with a full water tank and half full fuel tanks. Now after I put on all my gear and stock the refrig., I'll have to weigh each item to keep track of the weight I am adding !!!

O.K.

From the Trojan International owners manual (from my 1983 express cruiser) page 25 here are the published weights:

10 meter sport express model 330/335 11,250 lbs

10 meter sport express models 332/337 14,250 lbs

10 meter sport sedan models 331/336 12,750 lbs

10 meter sport sedan aft cabin 333/338 15,750 lbs

10 meter sport sedan model 341 12,750 lbs

NOTE:

these numbers are shown as APPROX.DRYWEIGHT

I used these numbers to select the correct propellers when we did the refit.

Got her on the travelift for her maiden voyage after the refit... approx weight with full tanks, spares & tools was 16,500 lbs

This was woth the new ALUMINUM BLOCK & TRANSMISSION LIGHTWEIGHT YANMAR ENGINES !

needless to say, the props we speced were wrong and she was a bit overpropped. We had to change out the props.

Now here's my own speculation: Consider that the published dry weights are for the base vessel with no genny, no wetbar, no L bench seats, no HVAC, no icemaker, microwave, rear bench seat, and NO FUN OF ANY KIND !

Add in your tools, spares, water, wastewater, fuel, oil, spare oil, personal stuff, dishes, plates and of course THE BEER and the weights change DRAMATICALLY !

Just my own .02 and based in no facts whatsoever.

Hope this helps

Dennis,

I have yet to find a publised weight on our Model 340. I know they're heavy. The other models had the fiberglass inner liner, where as the 340 is all wood interior.

My 10 meter Mid cabin is a 1990 with all of the options you mentioned except gen set and I have the integrated swim platform. (Crusader 7.4 gassers)

It was on a travel lift last spring and weighed in at 16,800lbs. It was in water stored for a few years prior to that lift out and this year it is on the hard so I am wondering how much water weight I will lose after it has had a chance to dry out all winter in the suburbs of Chicago. She goes back in the water next week via travel lift. I will check her weight and update this thread.

Does dry weight include engines. I am purchasing running with scissors a 10 meter 1982 which has tin yanmar 315 diesels with turbo's. I am unsure if they are the 6LP 2's? or just 6lp's. It does have a northern lights generator. My lift is going to be set up to lift max 16K. I can't see it weighing more than that with a half tank of fuel and fill water?

First congrats on getting a great boat.

I think you have an express, not a mid-cabin.
Dry weight is with engines, but no fuel or water. It may not include a Genset. It does not include anything you put on the boat and is an approx weight from the factory ad gas powered. If you look at the first post full of fuel YOUR boat was 16,500 lbs. But that is a travel lift scale and they are not that accurate. IMO a 16k lift is cutting it a little too close.

FWIW my 16000 lb dry weight F36 is 20,000 on a scale in real life. No clue how close the scale is, but its not 4k off.

Just looked at my post from TEN YEARS AGO - WOW !

I had forgotten about that info.

Mikes boat, the former RUNNING WITH SCISSORS is in fact an EXPRESS, not a mid cabin

I would suspect the additional weight of the conventional stringers on the mid cabin alone would make the express (Mike's new boat) a lighter boat than the mid cabin versions

Travelift weight scales are not really "scales" as i understand it, (but are hydraulic pressure???) approximate and relative, and not to be relied upon.

And of course, let's not discount the weight of the beer .......

BEST !

Something else to think about. From a earlier post.

"Now here's my own speculation: Consider that the published dry weights are for the base vessel with no genny, no wetbar, no L bench seats, no HVAC, no icemaker, microwave, rear bench seat, and NO FUN OF ANY KIND !

And so true!!
