I have a 1985 f32, great boat, I purchased it from a person who painted everything white, I have stripped and sanded, Any idea on what wood they used for the rubrail, looks almost like a plastic???

Thanks

I think it is plastic. If your going to replace it go to rubrails.com

I'm sure it's plastic (maybe lexan or ABS). You can sand it down with a very fine sand paper like I did, only to find out it looks much better white.

Thanks

I sanded it down, put on a few coats of tinted cetol, doesn't look as nice as the teak, but does look better, finished w/ a high gloss. I just couldn't imagine putting any type of plastic there, in a visual sense.

Thanks for the input.
