I saw the owner dropped it down from 8k

If someone is seriously interested, I could possibly check it out, I am always on the island

This is the same year as my 36 TriCabin, when I told my friend about this, he said why don't you buy it as a spare :-)

I stopped by to check out this boat today.

I figured out which marina the boat was docked at prior to me calling the owner to meet, so I was there before he was.

He has owned it 6 years, he is downsizing cause kids are older and don't want to go on boat anymore much
Reason sell price so low, he bought it only for 12k cause previous owner needed to sell it, now he doesn't want to spend $ winterizing and he wants to take his girlfriend on vacation

The good
This is a straight inboard boat with good access to both motors with a huge sealed hatch forward of the windshield where the engines can be lifted out very easily if ever needed again
Engines look to be 1995 replacements as the owner stated, starboard started right up cold start (on a very chilly 20 degree NY day), port was dead but after quick jump, it started right up too
He only used the boat 4 times this season, so oil is clean, and he changes it end of every season he says (about 370 hours) all gauges changed in 1995 too
he says it always starts up both engines, exhaust risers changed last season
port tranny replaced last season cause he let it run dry
new 3 blade props
canvas is 6 out of 10, a few window panels are starting to fog but still can be cleaned up and used for several more seasons
cushions are in good condition

needs work
both heads work but have small waste tanks, maybe upgrade to larger tank (plenty of room in storage area forward of engine room
all decks outside are soft, very soft forward bow, both sides all the way back -this is probably the biggest issue with this boat
no generator, never had one since he owned it
windlass does not work, its a "good" brand

he will take 5k cash

I would buy this boat

for 5k you cant go wrong

if someone cuts the deal and needs help, I could drive boat around to my marina, you could store it there for winter in/out of water or pull it and drop on a trailer to haul away.
I am always around the marina to watch it
ok good luck
