I am getting ready to install a Raymarine C120 Display with GPS chartplotter and digital DSM300 fish finder depth sounder.

Does anyone know if you have to use a Raymarine transducer or can you use another manufacturers product. I think there are some out there that are better for less money. I'm looking for a depth, speed, temp sensor.

They most of the transducers for the companies. Also check out http://www.thehulltruth.com
Check out BOE Marine and ask Jim. He'll set you straight on what you need.

Good Luck.

I have the Raymarine c-80 on my 10 meter.

Specking directly from experience, I highly reccomend using the fairing block (I think that's what it's called) to change the angle from a bit sideways to directly downward AND to reduce turbulence, which can create false readings at planing speeds.
