Looking for radar arch

Post by gdcardoza »

Hey all,

Just planning some projects for the winter and I'm looking for an ORIGINAL radar arch for a 10 meter...

Anyone have one they're planning on taking off or upgrading at all??

Thanks!

Just removed one form my 1985 10 meter express. I ordered a hard top. It located between Chicago and Milwaukee.

Hey Capt Bob,

I don't mean to hijack this thread but where are you ordering the hardtop from and how much are they charging you? I would love to see some pictures of the install. I'm thinking about getting one soon for my 87 10 Meter Express.

A friend of mine bought a hard top and frame from these guys last year for the bridge of his 42" ChrisCraft. Very nice and surprisingly not too costly.

Why not get a Atlantic Towers Arch ? I think it would make the boat look even better .

Yes. Yes you are.

I will say...the Atlantic Tower looks pretty good on the 10 meter above. Adds some nice additional rod storage as well!

if you dont mind me asking what did that nice arch set you back? I got a quote from them in 2012 for a hardtop. base price at the time with no ad ons was about $8400. still would love to get one one day but have to get the boat running and in the water 1st. I may consider doing it when its time to replace my canvas, I think I paid around $3700 for a Bimini with strattaglass windows and a fast back cockpit cover so a hard top that will last forever would be nice.

Graham, not sure how bad you want one but I can tell you that there is not much to the original and it really would't be difficult to make your own with the proper measurements. im not sure how similar the 10 meter mid cabin arch is to the express but I would have no problem supplying you with exact measurments, templates and info if you wanted to try.

Not sure, if you are still looking. But, I took one off of my '86, 10 meter about a year ago. Still sitting in my storage unit.
You are welcome to it for free. I am in San Jose.
You can email me at vicg@besteleco, if you are still in the market.

It was a little north of $2k. Pricing was during their "show season." That was with 14 rod holders.

2K sounds like a good price, especially with +-$800 worth of rod holders! I'm jealous, very nice!
