Hi, I own a 1994 370 Trojan with twin 454 xls.
My top RPM is 4100
The props are 2422, 3 blade nibril.
The speed at 3600 RPM is 21.5 Knots.
The gear reduction is 2.58 to 1
The max RPM should be 4400 according to engine specs.
I would like to go 22-23 knots without running such high RPM's
Any suggestions, 4 blade? More pitch? less pitch?

Assuming your bottom and running gear is clean , with no damage , You are a little over propped so you would want to reduce the pith a little to get the rpms up . However that will increases the rpm at 22-23 knots . You don't want to increases pitch to bring the rpms down as your already over propped and that means your at the point of over loading the engines . a little extra rpm is better then a over loaded engine . could 4 blades help ? maybe or make it slightly worse , they still should be pitch so you get 4400
What can you do ? keep the bottom and running gear clean clean clean . take un-needed gear off the boat the lighter the better
except the fact you may not have a 23 knot cruising boat , too much boat too little engine is what a friend of my says .

I forgot to add That I assuming as far reaching 4400 rpm that the engines are in good tune and running correctly

My 1995 350 express with 454xl's will do 20kts at 3400 rpm and burn 22GPH (Garmin GFS 10) That is my cruising speed with full tanks and clean clean clean bottom. WOT is 4200 RPM.
