Aloha All
Previous owner used plywood on my '68s Flybridge. Although it's a wooden boat this would not have been my first choice!
What do you recommend for the rebuild? I'd like to go with fiberglass. Maybe fiberglass over wood? First restoration, first boat, I need some seasoned advice. Thanks guys

+1
If you're going to rebuild, then that's the best way to go. If it needs a major overhaul and you're not worried about keeping it original, replace the whole unit with a fiberglass one. Keep your eyes open for a used one. A good wet sanding and polish usually brings back a nice shine.

here's a thought to get an acceptable finished look.
replace all the roted wood with marine ply and give it a coat of fiberglass resin, to seal the wood, and then cover it with vinyl as they did with cars years ago, I seen an old Chris last summer and that's how the salon roof was covered and it looked really good and water tight,
just my two cents
