I have a 73 Tri cabin. i had a process called Renu done on my port tank 5 years ago. Just google renu fuel tank repair. I plan to have the starboard tank done next winter. I'm sure there may be other solutions, that's the way I went since it was a reasonable price to get it done and I figured I didn't have to do any refitting to get a slightly different new tank in.

I had 2 newer ( less then 400 hrs ) installed over the winter 270 crusaders they run perfect at idle and out of the marina but as soon as we are running for a bit and bouncing around some the one motor starts to back fire then will start stalling. So they are figuring that there is crap in the bottom of the takes that gets stirred up once we get going .

If the motor starts back up and runs @ 1200rpms change the fuel filters and it should fix-it. I just went thru the same problem with my F32.

Put two mid ships tanks in my f32 last year. These guys did a great job for me. They had the drawing in stock for the tanks.

Hello Marklo,
Not sure how you are going to deal with your tank issue, but have you tried having the fuel "cleaned" by a filtering processer? My former slipmate had this done...they draw the fuel out, filter it twice and then replace it. Might be worth looking into before you go replacing those big tanks. I can't even imagine how you would get them out of the rear cabin!!!
In any case, I'm really glad to hear you are up and running. With all the issues you have overcome you deserve many hours on the water.
Regards,
