Willie,

Keep us informed on your progress and try to post (or email) some higher resolution photos. I'm looking at some similar work this spring and would love to learn from your experience.

Regards,

Hey Willie
I'm still working on my baby and I am taking your advice for re-powering.
I also found mush in the same spots. It is an easy fix with hours and hours of sanding. I also found some bad stuff by the front windows. I used a moisture meter and then drilled to find the soft stuff. I used corcel and epoxy. It is as strong as a rock with no give at all. I would love to post some pics here if I can figure out how to. There are some pics of repairs I did. The boat has been stripped and primed once. Second prime due in Spring. I also change the vents to newer location. I am working on helm at home and I'll post some pics of it. Have fun.
Regards and good luck.

Works for me. Willie, that really is a sharp looking boat.

Will definetly look you up next time I'm down river. I'll be down that way, between Coles PT and the Yeocomico come the 19th- opening day of Rockfish. You plan on doing any fishing?

which helm??

Looking good, Nice looking boat.

What are you bonding the new core it in with?
How did you know how far the rot went back to?

Just using plywood, but I'm going to use teak on top of the repair.

Things just seemed soft all around the bow so I just cut the whole thing out.
