Does anyone ever come up the Hudson river to go thru the Erie or Champlain canal. I am located at lock one on the Champlain. Waterford NY is right at the tip between the Erie and Champlain, that little town has many of festivals to do with boating each year. I know up here is in the back woods for some but it is nice. I read about rendevous all the time, However, would not try to go with a single engin, it would be a long way back to have to row. Any way, if you are ever up this way, let me know, I would love to extend my hospitality to you, oh yeah, and of course show off my Trojan E26. 8)

Hey Rick

Been seeing you on the forum on a regular basis. I'm in your same neck of the woods with a 77 F 26 at Sacandaga (Mayfield Yacht Club). Taking the boat on extended canal and finger lakes trip this summer. Man, will this winter ever end?

Hi Randy,
Yeah I just love my Trojan E26 I just cant stop talking about it or helping others if I can. It is nice to hear from you being up with me in the upper part of the New York woods. Where would you put in on the canal, I would love to do a trip like that. I need to get the boat in the water and fix my fuel problem. The key (get the boat back in the water) Mother nature is being a pain in the $%^ you think?

Gong to have the boat transported from Sacandaga to Shenectady area (SYC or nearby) then head west to Fairport to see my son and his family. Then back to CS canal to Seneca Falls, then over to Cayuga Lake down to Ithaca, then back up to Oswego, then back home. Taking 5-6 weeks off to do this. I have a lot of original info on the 77 F-26 that I got from the orignal owners. If you ever need any of it I have pdf files I can email you. What's your fuel problem?

Oh man, that is a trip that sounds like fun maybe some day. When I got the boat, the owner gave me all the original manuals for everything on the boat. Although they don’t go into much detail, thank you I will keep that in mind. If when you do this trip, Let me know, where you will lunch, between which two locks and I will meet you there.
