List For Santa

Hello Trojan Team,

For those on the Forum who still believe in Santa, what boating gift do you hope is under that tree in about five days?

"Hope" being the key word here.

I'd always sort of hoped to receive a little guy who pops out of a can each morning and gets to work cleaning and waxing my boat. That little guy is probably never going to arrive though.

I'm thinking there might be the possibility of a new log book might showing up (I've been dropping hints)

Depending on the day, I wear old blue Chuck Taylor low-cuts while on board, so a fashionable pair of boat shoes is probably out. But if I get another Book of Knots, that'll make four.

Okay folks, time to send your Christmas List to Santa. Let's hear it.

Merry Christmas All and to All a Good Night

Cetol natural and Cetol gloss are on my Christmas list this year. It's time to redo the wooden cockpit railing on my F26.

It would be great if Santa would repair and replace the cover of my Black Water Holding Tank. It is going to be a spring project, not looking forward to it. Lid is colapsed and leaks into the bilge when gets close to full.

Dear Santa,
When you elves are done in the toy shop up north, have them come finish my bow deck project please. Cracks are filled, filling primer laid down, but lots of sanding and 2-3 top coats left to go on everything above the rubrail. Brightsides is great stuff, but ever 3-4 years it needs a new coat.

If its not too much to ask, I'd like about 140sq ft of teak flooring to re-do the aft cockpit deck.

We just got our F36 last spring and I have spent a ton of money on repairs and upgrades. This year, I am keeping my head low and not mentioning boating at Xmas!!!

I did get a bit of a Christmas present last week when winterizing. I spent the night on the boat before hauling it and discovered that both A/C units are reverse cycle and we have heat! That was a most pleasant surprise.

WayWeGo - That was one of those non-financial surprise Christmas presents. Just trying to remember the last one of those that I received..... :D

A lot of Trojans on the Chesapeake. I know there is a Rhode River Marina up in that bay. I had once been interested in a Chris located at a marina in the Kent Narrows.

Have a great Christmas. Maybe you'll get a surprise boating gift under the tree after all.

Rick

yep, I'll take spring, too. Feels like it now, but I know it won't last.

Prowler, I wonder if those are the boat shoes that were supposed to have been headed my way, because I sure didn't find them under my tree. At least I didn't receive another Book of Knots. I did receive a pair of hiking pants that could see double duty around the boat on those cold, wet, grey days. On Monday I plan to stop by the Chandlery in Ottawa to check on their sales.
