Trojan Rendezvous 2008

Post by prowlersfish »

There is going to be a trojan Rendezvous on the uper Chesapeake bay
in Aug. heres a copy of the Email I have .

Hello Trojan Owners,

The boating season is soon here. And we are all trying to get our Baby's ready for the summer and the trips we would like to take this season. And with that I have set up the Trojan Rendezvous this year at Rock Hall Landing for August 8th , Friday night with a cocktail dock party. BYOB and Snacks & Munchies to share. Saturday breakfast your on your own. In the mid AM, hopefully John Leeds ( The Trojan MAN ) will be around to answer any questions you may have about your boat. Early evening, we plan to have a cook out in the picnic area. It will be $5.00 donation per person for Hot Dogs and Burgers cook to order with all the fixings. Also please bring a covered dish to share, like pot luck. After the cook out ,we have guest speaker who is a surveyor of boats & yachts., plus he owns a trojan boat. He will talk about problems on Trojans and other boats. Also electrial problems with a Q & A sesion afterwards.
To make reservations ,Call Rock Hall Landing @ 410-639-2224 and tell them you are with the Trojan Rendezvous for 2008. And for those of you who would like attend without your boat you can make a reservation at the Mariners Motel & 410-639-2291 (is at the marina) and tell them that you are with the Trojan Rendezvous.
For the ladies, we can go shopping in town at Rock Hall and there is a swimming pool there too. Watersman's restaurant is right next to the Marina. Hopefully the weather will be hot, as usual.
We would like to have a head count, so let us know if you plan to attend.

Any questions or suggestions please E- mail me at FagarweII@Aol.Com .

Sea you all there,
Kent

Kent has taken over this from Jerry due to back issues and has let me post this . I would like to thank Jerry for his hard work in the past and to thank Kent for takeing over .

Paul,
I'm with Willie. Perhaps we can get some Trojan owners together who are south in the bay, say closer to the Potomac...?

I'd travel 3 hours to rendezvous for those who could make it. The prices of fuel is gonna keep me limited.

I agree ,even the Potomac is long run for me . I have asked that they move it south , but if its been working up there I can under stand them not wanting to chage it . I know there is a lot of trojans down here .
I think it would be great to do one in the mid to lower bay .

Solomons or the new Windmill Point Marina would make a great spot!

Just have to figure out how to get things started I guess.... "Who - What- When and Where" Anyone else out there interested in meeting up in Lake Michigan area for a Trojan get together? Nothing fancy just a cookout; BS session; get the gals in on this too! Maybe a raft-off party?

I am willing to try to get something going but I will need some support and mainly some feed back as to where and when...

let me know!

I'm in! Saugatuck has probably the best location for getting a large amount of boats together in one spot either rafted or anchored in the cove.

Anybody on the upper Mississippi St Croix? Would an event around Red Wing or Lake City MN interest anybody (assuming it ever warms up. We're getting 6-10" of snow today just north of Minneapolis :( )
