So sorry for your loss.
Exactly why I'm nervous about removing & replacing the fuel tanks in my tri-cabin despite knowing I'm having fuel related problems.
I've heard the best method is to fill the tanks with soap bubbles to displace any fumes. Can anyone confirm this?

@ Bob - That would be great if you could get me some photos of the actual rails. I'm fairly sure it's the same on my boat as yours. I think they simply removed the door, hinge and rails and put a fabric door in it's place when they built the hardtop. They also covered the sides/edges of the opening ...

TriCabin door from bridge to salon repacement?
Hi all, One of the former owners built a hardtop for our 1970 tri-cabin. The whole bridge is completely enclosed but we've now decided to do some modifications. So now we're about to remove the back half of the hardtop providing shade but still being open to the elements. The downside is that when t...

What Marina is this? I'm about to have the same problem here in weehawken, NJ. I have heard a number of other liveaboards get their electric bills and they're trying to charge .28/kWh. I know this is illegal in NJ to submeter and charge more for the electricity than the electric company is charging....

Replacing non sliding TriCabin salon windows
It's with jealousy that I see other Trojan owners having sliding windows in their salons. I have a 1970 model and the salon windows are fixed (and leak!). Does anyone have any suggestions on replacing the windows with sliders? The shape of the windows nearest the bow is a little odd. I'll try and up...

I'm the fairly new owner of a 1970 tri-cabin (got it in April). One of the things to look for (at least with my boat was an issue) is where the rear deck meets the back wall of the aft cabin. Not sure if the '76 has the back deck or not. From what I gather, water tends to collect right where the tea...

Replacing rear windows 1970 tricabin
I'm in the process of replacing my old glass panel wind open windows with sliders.
I'm trying to remove the old windows and after removing the screws and trying to run a putty knife along the flashing, the windows still won't come out.
Should I just muscle it out or am I missing something?
Thanks!

Tri-Cabin Princess Stove not working
Hi fellow Trojan Boat Owners- I'm new to the forum, owning a Trojan and owning a "larger" boat in general. My wife and I bought a 1970 TriScabin earlier this year. It's a bit of a project and we've been staying on the boat when we've been working on it (half way through renovating the aft ...
