The dreaded Hollow Keel - again

I still haven't seen photos of the holes that members have opened for access to their hollow keel. I'm hauled out now, and would love to take care of this. I've read a lot of the posts, but a picture (or 2) would be really welcome.

Thanks!

Re: F32 Rocking at Slip....!

Mine doesn't do it either. By the way, my slip is the first, nearest to the shore. I get a fair amount of reflect from the shore, as my east/west fairway is almost in line with the seawall entrance - our winds are mainly westerly.Current changes and passing vessel wakes also move right up to us. Now...

Re: My 3 Months Aboard my F32

Big Ralph, when i got my '87 F32, she had 5 year old fuel in all 4 tanks, they were about half full. I changed filters, put a double does of Startron gas conditioner in 2 of the tanks, and topped them off. Sitting in the slip, I burned about a 1/4 of that, and added another shot of Startron, and top...

Re: Epoxy : West system vs Mas epoxy

Paul,

I encourage you to try epoxyproducts.com. You've seen the work that I've done, and all the material came from them. His name is also Paul. You can call him, he's like you and Bob, walking catalogs of info. Kind of a quirky website.

We get a great kick out of the Hampton Virginia parade - We make a weekend of it. It's a great protected waterway, manageable current and generally wind sheltered. The maritime center has plenty of slips for the participants. The floating docks are along a boardwalk that runs the length of the cente...

Electrical Guidebook

I think this was recently asked by someone else, but I can't find it now. What would be a Chapmans caliber electrial book?

I've done all three: bottom paint, prop speed and zinc coat. Prop speed was everything advertised & a bit tedious to apply ($$$$$ whew). I was surprised at how soft zinc coat was - gotta be cautious about dinging it before launching. Bottom paint (I use ablative ABC #3) over metal etching, worke...

Hi Jamie, sorry for the late reply. The quick update is everything is holding up fine. I'd be happy to make a road trip up your way. My brother lives in Newmarket. I'd do different hardware, but what I used has worked fine. For the forum, I can post measurements and more disscision too.

Doug, a couple of years ago, I bought a pair of outriggers from an ebay listing. It turned out that the man was a Trojan Dealer on Smith Mountain Lake near Roanoke Va. I contacted him tonight and he'd be happy to contribute. I know that his wife was featured on some of the marketing literature and h...
