It's not a car part. It's a Pertronix marine distributor specifically parted for the Mercruiser 351 Windsor. Who said it was a car distributor?

I just put in a complete pertronix billet distributor with Ignitor II electronic ignition. Has everything including cap and there is a separate distributo model for each motor with the advance already tuned for the particular motor's curve. $225 at http://www.carshopinc.com

Removing window
I need to remove and replace one of the sliding acrylic windows. Does the entire ext. mounted window frame need to be removed to get it out? It seems so, but just wanted to check first.

I don't know about balance, but I much prefer inboards due to their simplicity. Seems like folks at the marina are often having very expensive problems w/ IOs. I've never had a problem with an Inboard. A duel inboard is very easy to maneuver. I have a single screw now and can back it in on a dime, e...

Deep cycle are great .... for trolling motors and sail boats . :D You'd want them if you've using an inverter instead of a generator. No doubt deep cycles have their place, but most of us don’t need them. Does this mean most boaters here are daytrippers? One of the joys of being on the east side ...

I'm in a marina in Philadelphia. We have cable at the slips, but this year with the switch for broadcast TV I now get perfect digital reception with our marine antenna and Jenson flatscreen HDTV. When out in the water, there is no reception when we're moving, but it's perfect when at anchor. It is a...
