Re: Not getting fire
Thanks. I have a new ECM and ballast coming tomorrow. Went down today, cleaned and checked all connections. Still no fire. Hoping it is the ECM but will know tomorrow. I really appreciate all the suggestions as the electrical part is my weakest.

Re: Not getting fire
2 questions, do you have electronic ignition? You said you have power to the coil, does current leave the coil. Yes I have power on both the positive and negative side of the coil but I checked and do not have power coming out of the coil. After reading some online stuff and what mikeandanne sent, ...

Not getting fire
Hopefully can get some ideas where to start. I have a 1976 Chyrsler 318 in my F26. It ran on Friday. Then would not start. Later that evening it started. Today went down to go out and it would not start. I thought it might be the coil so I replaced and tested. Had power at the coil level. Both coils...

oil leak help
So I have had a very tiny oil leak that I have been working to find the source. I am closer today but am looking for some thoughts. I will try to explain. I have a 1976 Chrysler 318 reverse rotation. On the bell housing there is a silver triangle that I believe is used for timing of the engine it is...

Re: oil leak
Thanks for the advice. It was leaking from the connections on the safety switch for the fuel pump.

oil leak
I have a 1976 Chrysler 318 in a F26. I am noticing small amounts of oil on the bottom of the starter. Not a huge amount but enough to cover one digit of my index finger. I thought it was running down from the valve cover bolt that had a slow leak. I have solved that problem and am still having issue...

1976 318 spark plugs
I have a 1976 318 and am wanting to replace the spark plugs. The Champion plugs in the manual are no longer made. I went to the Champion site and they give me a replacement choice. However when I search google for suggested plugs, there are differences out there. Can anyone make a suggestion as to w...

Spotlight
Trying to get an idea of the right size. I have an F26 and want to purchase a new spotlight to install this offseason. Trying to figure how much candlepower I need. Is there a formula for candlepower to distance? Any help would be great.

sticky LM318
Need some thoughts. Have not been down to the boat for about 3 weeks. I have a 1976 318LM. When I went down to start the boat it would not turn over immediately. It seemed as if the engine was stuck. Had the risers checked and all is fine no leaks. Had the starter rebuilt this past summer. We have n...

I don't have quite as an elaborate setup on my F25. I have a hose connected from where the drain plug used to be that is about 2.5 feet long. I have it attached to a clip at the top with a cap on it. I then just hook it to a pump that I have attached to a 5 gal bucket and then drain the oil. I will ...

Randy, My headliner was removed and they just painted. I want to replace and was thinking the same as you. Guy 2 slips down did it to his Owens and said it was great. Only suggestion he had was to keep the screws fairly close together and put lots of them. He didn't and it sags in certain places. Ke...
