like 14.5 mph my problem i want the boat to go faster like just 20 -24 it takes forever to go anywhere i am changing the prop this week to a 14x 9 hopefully that makes a differnce bc i cant get over 3200 wot

sorry tired long day when a swell passes under the boat it take the boat and swirls it right around the other way i belive this is bc of the extension and bigger rudder i have

yea the member was chucka i bought the boat from him but with the keel extention when a side swell comes by it takes the boat of a 180 degree ride and by adding the bigger rudder does that really make a difference good or bad?

no i tested it in the water but didnt reallly relize it til i drove it home 300 mile up the east coast but another thing is i do belive this boat has a oversized rudder so what whould u advise remove the keel extension and get a smaller rudder

Keel Extension

Just Bought a 1975 f26 and the original owner had added 8 inches on the bottom of the keel starting from the front all the way to the back this brings up my question will adding this keel extension help or hurt in reguards to planing,"stability",and well just all around drag issues. 1975 f...

i was just thinking the previous owner replaced the sun deck with 5/4 mahoganoy i belive before all there was 3/4 plywood if there is too much weight would i be underproped would i have to go up on my prop.

Sorry the whole length of the keel was extended 8 inches down and the prop is a 14x 10 non cupped also i pulled the boat out about a week ago and scrapped the whole bottom of barnnacles the prop had a few nicks out of it i just didnt have the money at the time to replace it but will that really affe...

Speed isuue

Well i am new to the whole inboard motor thing i just bought my first on its a 1975 F26 it has a repowered 318 i just am a little pissed about the spped i need to know if somethins not right at WOT its at 3k and will only do 18 MPh with the current goin out with a back wind also just wondering also ...
