Re: Oil Pressure Gauges
Hey Paul, To tell the truth...Things have been a little rough since last September as far as the work situation goes. Spent last spring and summer running a charter-boat out of Destin Fl. for the Army which was pretty cool up until the end of the fishing season at which time we got a lay off. Went b...

Oil Pressure Gauges
Hey All,
I have a friend who has twin 454`s and dual helm stations. His oil pressure gauges seem to be working backwards. At idle the needle shows about 60 lbs. of oil pressure. When you rev the engins the needle drops rather than rising? Any ideas on this?
Thanks, Rick F-36 (MissKitty)

Thanks Big D. I will try that as it is getting a little warm down here. Do you think it will hurt anything if I remove the (2) hoses at the raw water discharge side of the pump and use a garden hose to try to back-wash from the thru-hulls and push everything back down the hoses toward the pump. The ...

Got the boat moved from Pensacola to Destin with the help of Paul and some others so I`d like to say thanks to all. Started new job and living on the boat seemed like things were turning around but figured out quickly that taking a trip from time to time and living on the the boat full time are two ...

Destin Army Rec. Center
You may want to call the front desk and get the answer to that question but I dont think so at this time as the dock is being upgraded. Some boaters have been dropping the hook a few yards off the beach and using thier dingy to get back and forth. They also have the best fuel prices on Non-E fuel in...

Thanks Guy`s,
I will pass this on to Capt. Clay as well as keep looking. Haven't talked to him for a couple of day`s so I guess I need to try to call. Last report had them somewhere just south of Palm Beach heading for St. Lucie Inlet and the Okeechobee Waterway.

Hey All, Got a call from a friend who is trying to get his 41ft. SeaRay from East Coast of Fl. to the Panhandle. Due to mechanical problems the trip is going slow and very costly and will probably need to be broken-up into sections because of his job, money and time constraints. Does anyone have or ...

Re-Packing Shaft Coupling ?
Has anyone done this with the boat in the water...If so...Should I try it ? Also...Seems to be a lot of steam at exhaust outlets at transom. Temp is about 175 on both gauges at 2800 rpm. No steam at idle or low rpm. Looks to be enough water flow out the exhaust. Water surface temp. was about 75 degr...
