Land locked in Birmingham AL-do my lake boating at Smith Lake in North Alabama. Not sure where I'd like to have my boat. Familiar with Destin, but wife has three sisters on the low country SC coast (Hilton Head, Bluffton, and Beaufort). South FL a bit too far, unless I hit the lottery!

My ideal would be the F36. I've looked at a couple, and they would fill all my wants. Have my eye on one, but will keep looking for a while.

I appreciate everyone's opinion. Although a long time lake boater (North Alabama), my salt water experience is not as extensive. Wood stringers

As they cannot be visualised in their entire length, if there is a problem with rot, where would it be expected?
