Whew!!! Relief and triumph!! In low water, on an untested trailer, by two guys who've never trailered a boat before, we got her up and brought her home. Had the tires on my Rover half submerged but got out with no problem. She does sit pretty high, but is incredibly stable. Will post pics soon...

I did not kmow that. I purposely built it high because I didn't want to harm the keel. Thanks for the insight. I guess I mat be modifying some more. Although, looking at the pic's that Roy posted of Foofer B, it doesn't look like his keel is resting on anything. I'll have to look into this as mine w...

The bunks should be high enough that the keel clears the frame and the boat sits entirely on the bunks. After I get the boat on it, I may add a couple of keel rollers once I know how high she's going to sit.

Gettin' Closer

I've been workin alot lately on the trailer and it's coming along suprisingly well. I started with a flat trailer and welded unistrut to the frame for the bunk supports. The rear axle was bent so I had to heat it up and bank it bat straight. I also welded steel beams that I found to support the fron...

Cheap paint!

This has nothing to do with boats, but I wanted to give my fellow Trojan owners the heads up. Sears is closing out their paint departments and everything is super cheap. I picked up a bunch of flat black anti-slip spray paint for a buck a can which I am going to see how well it will work on the plac...

I finally made time to work on my trailer and got the rear bunk "brackets" on. I say brackets because rather than buy the standard brackets made for bunks, I fabbed my own using 1 1/2 in uni-strut welded to the frame. Will post pics soon. (Roy if you see this, are your front bunks the same...

I changed the fluid twice already. It was dark but still red. Neither times was it milky. The boat has two automatic bilge pumps, but they don't work without power and I had the main power off because I was doing some electrical work on her and forgot to turn it back on. And she has never taken on t...

Velvet Drive Tranny Problem??? F-26

Last weekend I get that dreaded call from the marina... ugh. "You're boat is sitting low in the water." I accidently left the DC power off, which normally wouldn't have been an issue, except my packing box started leaking something fierce (I think it was sabatoge because it went from norma...

That's a big help, and a lot simpler than I was thinking it would be. How long is your trailer from where the winch is? (approx). As this boat has never been trailered, it has no bow eye. I have plenty of parts to use (from the boat that is currently on the trailer). Anything in particular I should ...

That would be great! I can use all the help I can get. I was going to take measurements on the boat, but I forgot and had it put in on Saturday. :? Oh well. At least now I don't have to climb a ladder to get in to work on it.

F-26 Trailer bunk/roller locations

I bought an F-26 about a month ago that had been stored for a couple of years and the guy didn't have time for it any more. It had always been kept at the marina and therefore had no trailer. I bought a trailer that had a 27' Anacapri on it (that I am trying to find a way to get off of it) that shou...
