Re: Trying to get an 11 Meter on Plane
Read this thread with interest and have just spent the past week getting up close and personal with the bottom of my 11 meter. I have several photos which are on point with the trim tab installation. I have stock setup from the factory. When I bought mine, it had approximately 200 hours run time and...

Re: 1985 - 10 meter electrical horn issue
a high water alarm system was optional from Trojan in 1985 the relay controlled the horn itself and the flourescent starter controlled the 60 second delay for the alarm. There were float switchs on top of the bilge pumps which activated the alarm (horn) in the event of high water and blew it intermi...

Re: Fuel filters
My advice is replace all of the blue fuel hoses. I can see one attached to the cartridge filter. On my 11 meter, they went from the fuel tank to the filter and than to the engine. They get brittle and hard and I had one crack underway. They antisiphon valve on the tank stopped the flow. I replace al...

Relay
Had the same generator on my 36' sea voyager, my memory is that it was the relay for the start circuit. The armature served as the starter, once the unit started and began generating, the start circuit was de energized by that relay. I am not sure and if your unit has a separate starter, disregard t...

poll
Good question, I have an 11 meter which I can control quite well on the starboard engine, I can maintain a straight line on the starboard engine, the best I can do on the port engine is a fairly quick turn to the right. I discovered this while trying to negotiate the miami river. The best advice has...

docking
As an owner of an 11 meter, I think with some practice you will soon be proficent at handling your boat in close quarters. along with the hull design, you are swinging pretty substantial props (with a 2.9 to 1 reduction). The boat is very responsive to to the throttles and clutches. Go to open water...

stiff steering
I just did this two days ago. The relief valves are opened by loosening to pinned nuts at the base of the resevoir. By loosening the nuts, the oil cycles through the helm without moving the steering cylinder. The oil flows and the air is returned to the resevoir. I doubt that is your problem, air in...

hynautic steering cylinder
Just a followup from my initial post, finally got back down to my boat. The 11 meter (and the 10 meter from what I can tell) uses the Hynautic K1 cylinder. The rebuild kit is a model KS-11. It is readily available from TELEFLEX. I paid $32.00 for the kit from Lewis Marine supply in Ft Lauderdale. It...

11 meter steering cylinder
While running my boat this past weekend I noticed the steering getting sloppy I added fluid and repressurized to get back to the dock. Looked for my leak and the steering cylinder was the culprit. Here is my problem: I had to fly home that evening and was sure the model number was in my documentatio...

11 meter
I think I do a little better on the fuel consumption, but the 454's definitely like the gasoline. Welcome to the forum, it is a great source of info. The 11 meter is a great hull and I am sure you will love it. I have the original wiring diagram and manuals on PDF and would be happy to share. The wi...

Try Marine Liquidators in Ft pierce, FL. I got an exact match for the sink in my 11 meter, no cutting or drilling. It was a double bowl, but they had various single bowls also. if you are renovating a boat, they are a fantastic source of parts and components. http://www.themarineconnection.net/ http...

Boat angel
They have amazing deals that probaly cannot be duplicated any where else. A 36 foot Egg Harbor was sold by them last summer for $800.00. The boat was in a Marina where a fried keeps his boat and I looked at. It was basically given away. If I thought my marriage would have survived going from 3 boats...
