LandVF36...This is a post from Oct 27, 2007 Repower 10 meter I am about 95% complete on repowering a 10 Mtr. Sedan with 330 Cummins ReCons. I did the job myself, with some help from my father, my 2 sons, and a friend at my marina. I did all the fabrication work in my garage at home. All the brackets...

What looks like delamination may be where a little extra chop was used to beef up the spot where the valves were installed. When I removed my valves from my '86, the hull liner and hull were not compressed together at that spot. When I put new seacocks in, I mixed a small batch of epoxy and filler a...

Believe it or not, there is a crude design of a duct for the vents. The vents have collectors that open into a boxed-in area under the window. The starboard box turns down in the form of a plumbing/wire chase that puts the wiring, the a/c condensor lines and condensate drain for the salon a/c down i...

When I removed the old painted on name , it did leave a ghost. I buffed the transom with 3m Super Rubbing compound, then with Finesse-it. Applied the new lettering and waxed with 3M Marine wax. No, I'm not a pitch man for 3M products...this is just what works best for me. Oh yeah...I did break down ...

I have used the Good free-fall rope windlass on my '86 10 meter since new (new to me in '96) and it has served well. As a part of my recent repower project, I anticipated the installation of a rope/chain windlass. I have extended my bay cruising to include coastal diving. As of now, the windlass is ...

I am not familiar with fresh water boating, however, I do keep my 10 Meter in all year. Located on Nabbs Creek, the water is brackish and what works for me is Petit Trinidad. Although pricey, it affords me 3 seasons between bottoms. Even after the 3rd season, the bottom was basically spotless when i...

Rendezvous Info.
The Rendezvous is once again being held at Mears Great Oak Landing Marina on Fairlee Creek. As I stated, it's the weekend of Aug. 25th. I'll be there Friday afternoon the 24th. I went by land in 2005 because my boat was out of commission. It was still great to see so many Trojans in one spot. Diesel...
