I too have 31' Sea Raider (1973) because..... takes me back to my Fathers 1968 Owens 28' Flagship....best times ever!

Nida core??? for decks? (what kinda decks do you have currently? mine are teak/ply composite)....core cell maybe, with glass both sides....as long as you put solid blocking in way of cleats and other high stress areas....I'm on the fence as well over trying to save the teak decks or just glass over ...

noisy lifter?
Went for fuel.....ouch!..... quick spin @ 3000 rpm....Close to 20 knts.... So it sound like Port engine has a bad lifter/pushrod/rocker arm....
