Teak steps on F32
I am trying to rebuild the teak boards that are on the gunwales of my F32. One of these was destroyed when my boat was in the shop and the guys working on it must have used steel toed shoes and boots, causing the starboard one to break. The screws are still there, just broke the wood. Anyone know wh...

Had both front windows on port/starboard in the salon broken while work done on boat. The sliding glass is one I need to replace. I really have NO idea at all how to get the glass out to take it to a local glass company to recreate so looking for help in the Tidewater area (boat is docked on Pagan R...

Re: DC system failure of F32
Thanks all. I checked the engines and while they are Chryslers did not have the switch you mentioned. I think they were bigger engines. But with my trusty voltmeter, I checked the deep cell battery and it was fine but the other one, that supports the DC system, was a big ZERO. So I started following...

DC system failure of F32
I have an F32 and when my air conditioner stopped blowing cold air, we determine one of the connections in the switch was bad. So, before disconnecting and replacing, I turned off the AC electrical system from shorepower and turned the battery switches to off (both of them). I then fixed the air con...

Re: Kohler generator problem
Did check oil and it was low. Added oil but that did not work. I am looking at photos in manual for the High Water Temp Safety Shutdown Switch, the Low Oil Pressure Safety Shutdown Switch and the High Exhaust Temp Safety Shutdown Switch and will head down tomorrow to check each of these items. Not s...

Kohler generator problem
I have a Kohler 6.3 generator and it starts fine, but as soon as I release the start button (not the one on the generator but one installed on the electrical panel), the engine stops. I don't know much (if anything!!) about electricity but am assuming it is a relay switch or something like that caus...

part name by lazarette seacock F32
I thought I closed my lazarette seacock for winter but apparently did not and sure enough I have a water leak from the burst element beside the seacock. I have a picture from the top and the unit under the green top is what is broken, allowing water to pour thru. I tried to take off the hoses beside...

lazarette seacock item burst - what is it?
I thought I closed my lazarette seacock for winter but apparently did not and sure enough I have a water leak from the burst element beside the seacock. Here is a picture showing the top of what is broken. There is a bottle/container underneath the green device that has a crack and when the seacock ...

Replacement for flooring
I had water in the galley and now the 12x12 board piece is not fitting correctly. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement tile (for want of a better word) for the one that is the opening to the bilge? I have a 1978 F32.
Thanks.
Thanks.

newbie report
Bilge pump working fine!! Yeah. Now if I could figure out why the port nav light has no power coming to it. The electrical panels are so confusing ... I have the schematic but nothing shows when I put the meter to the connections and finding which are nav lights and which are bow lights, etc is also...

Thanks. I am now about to put in a new bilge pump ... the other just passed away and I have h20 up front. Pumped most of it out today around teaching class and going to our boaters' club meeting here in Smithfield. I appreciate getting to know Trojan owners in Tidewater esp and I look forward to mee...

A request from a really NEW boater
Finally the '78 F32 is running fine. I start and shut down from both helms. Still don't have a low oil buzzer working on the port engine but the starboard makes lots of noise. The biggest problem I now have is maintenance. I took driver's ed in high school in the 60's so I know about where to check ...
