Re: 1972 F-36 Port Motor Problem
Just an FYI. I had a similar problem with my '78 F 32 with 360 Chryslers. Turned out it was water in the carb bowls. Port side was worse than starboard. Had a hard time getting carb apart but has been fine since being rebuilt. Good luck with finding out the problem.

F-32 fresh water tanks
Hi Guys,
Has anyone had trouble filling their fresh water tank on an F-32? When I try to fill mine, about 15 seconds or so into it water starts overflowing the fill fitting. The tank is definitely not full but it overflows. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Re: Port engine won't stay running
Thanks guys for the responses. As it turns out it was the ballast resistor. I changed it out after not getting any reading on my meter and she fired right up, AND stayed running! Good job guys! Thanks again. Oh and Striperman, you can bet I'll be carrying spares from now on!

Port engine won't stay running
Hi Guys, Having a problem with my port engine staying running. It cranks, fires, and runs as long as I hold the ignition switch up but as soon as I let it go it shuts down. Did this once a couple of weeks ago but then was fine after that. I went to fire it up today and it did it again. Should mention...

Re: 86ing the gutter
Thanks guys. Guess I'll try removing and rebedding the gutter and screws and see if that works. I'll also do the bridge screws and the gap behind the gutter while I'm at it. Wish me luck.

86ing the gutter
Hi Guys, Has anyone thought about (or actually done it) removing the "gutter" on a F-32? I have a leak in my salon on the port side that I think may be coming from either the screw holes holding the gutter on or the separation in the bridge deck just below it. I was also wondering if anybo...

F-32 Flybridge Helm Hydraulic Steering Pump
Hi Guys, I have a 1978 F- 32 that the previous owner had a problem with the fly bridge steering pump. Apparently the housing cracked and was leaking so he removed the lower helm station and used the pump to replace the upper one. Now that replacement has a small crack in the housing and has also lea...

Re: Cleaning Gas Fuel Tanks
Thanks Guys. Your responses have confirmed my thoughts on this. Can't agree more and can't believe they put stuff like this out on the net!!! I've drained the tanks and think I'll leave well enough alone.
Thanks again

Cleaning Gas Fuel Tanks
Has anyone ever cleaned their tanks out (or know of anyone who has) by syphoning out all of the gas and then using a shop vac to clean any residue from the bottom. I've been reading about it online but I'm a bit uneasy about using something electrical around gas tanks... Any info would be much appre...

Re: Mid cabin inverter install
Hi Bob,
Would love to see video if possible. Thinking of adding an inverter myself and could use some direction.
Thanks, George

Re: F-32 BUILT IN SOFA
Hello Gettaway, I came across your posts about your built in sofa and was wondering if you had any plans or drawings you would be willing to share.I have been trying to figure out what I could do to make it easier to access the port engine on my '78 F-32 and I think your idea is perfect! I'm also cu...

Re: 78 F32 fuel fill deck plates
So far my tanks seem to be in pretty good shape. I syphoned them out earlier this spring and not to bad... A little sand and very little rust. I'll definitely get rid of the pipes when I replace the tanks but for now I'm just doing the hoses barring any unforeseen problems.

Re: 78 F32 fuel fill deck plates
I'm jealous! Much appreciated. By the way I have to say I love it up in your neck of the woods. We used to do a lot of camping up on Lake George out on the islands until we got a bigger boat and could no longer trailer it up there. What a great place.

Thanks Commission Point that would be great as long as you don't have to go out of you way to do so. I think mine are original but you never know.
